Thunder Clap[]

Slams the ground, dealing damage to and slowing the movement speed and attack rate of nearby enemy land units. Units become much slower in a larger area as this skill levels up. Thunder Clap always lasts for 3 seconds on heroes and has a 6 second cooldown.

Bash[]

A passive ability that gives a chance that an attack will do bonus damage and stun an opponent. Higher spell levels increase the chance of a successful Bash.

Avatar[]

When Avatar is activated, it gives the Mountain King bonus armor, hit points, damage, and spell immunity. Bonuses and duration increase at each level. Avatar always costs 250 mana and has a cooldown of 60 seconds.

Strategy[]

The Mountain King is a strength hero who lacks mana and often times needs to purchase some intelligence or mana-capacity improving item. Most players with the Mountain King max out Storm Bolt, Thunder Clap and Avatar. Bash is rarely chosen ahead of his other spells due to its partial uselessness as the Mountain King is a very slow attacking hero who usually kills heroes through his Storm Bolt and units through his Thunder Clap. His main weakness is his lack of mana; keeping him out of the mana pool keeps him out of the game.

With Other Heroes[]

The Mountain King is very effective when paired with a hero like the Assassin or Dino Din. His Thunder Clap allows him to be an AoE hero, but at the same time he can Storm Bolt and form an almost unstoppable continuous stun with other stunning heroes.
